Today I was searching for a new progression from the bodyweight only workouts I’ve been training with here in Oklahoma City. I decided to give KettleBell training a shot. I did an extensive dynamic warm up and joint mobility program before getting started.
Workout was much easier today but still was not able to successfully complete the final superset. Goal is to strengthen legs and core to be able to properly complete a set of 10 reps on each leg doing a “Pistol”, which is a one legged squat. I used a step to ensure I reached parallel on both legs. The pistol is used by the Spetsnaz
I would say day 1 of p90x was a success, I completed all exercises with a good amount of reps and weight. For all the pull-ups I used the bands with 44 pounds of resistance.
I decided over the weekend that I was mentally ready for p90x. I know, I just started a new workout recently and it meant I was jumping ship….I guess all I can say is I’ve not quit, staying active and watching what I eat.
